Love to see Jack resisting temptation! He's very noble and proper in this chapter:
"“That’s none of your business, Miss Impertinence.” He started off again, faster. “If you had any delicacy of mind you’d never have asked such a thing.”"
It reminds me of something Norrington would say, but I would imagine that young Jack had a few limitations especially when speaking to ladies about other ladies.
