You know how much and thoroughly I adore the way they seal the deal here, with Caroline worrying he will laugh at her and George stating that he hopes they will sometimes laugh together, but it bears saying again :-) I love that they go into it with eyes open, too, that it isn't love (yet), but two adults with experiences both good and bad behind them who find comfort and pleasure in each other's company. Also, you made me feel sympathy for Caroline, which I wouldn't have thought. Before. *g*
