1) Watched Napoleon Dynamite FINALLY, this evening. I really liked it, much to gingersnapps dismay. Guess you had to be there. Made the icon for weemonkey6 -- it's her favorite quote.

2) I like Daniel Day Lewis, but Johnny should have won. There's a cute article under the picture at right...

Speaking of JD, depp_daily has had so many amazing and amusing picspams this week -- certainly brightens my day!


3) We've had a spectacular number of wonderful drabbles posted to Black Pearl Sails (the Yahoo Group) and blackpearlsails this week for the 'Inch' theme! Many thanks to all who participated! A new drabble challenge will be posted tomorrow.

J was cute in Oscars, anyway. I happened to turn my TV on just when the winner nominees for the best actor were announced -- I don't doubt anymore what I've heard, that he ain't too keen on publicity... *g*

He didn't look too unhappy that night, but sometimes he looks downright miserable at these things. I think he tries not to show it, but his face and body are so expressive, you can't help but notice.

Oh yeah -- he doesn't have these "look at me, I'm teh BIG STAR and you puny mortals should be kissing my feet" gestures at all. To me, he looked almost embarrassed and shy when the announcer read his name and all the cameras zoomed on him...

He looks like he'd rather be practically anywhere else! Although I think V.'s presence has a soothing effect -- she seems very strong and self-contained.

Heheh -- my thoughts exactly. Somehow it seems to me (what little I've seen them in media) she's the stabilizing force in that relationship :)
