Oh, this certainly made my day!

My friend next to me: Oh, so that's why Tia Dalma's mouth is black. She's been playing squidy kissy face!

*sigh* I am SUCH a reporter. My first thought when I saw Keith a few days ago without the cutline was "ahh, method acting!" LOL

I really like the Tia/Barbossa-pic. I like both characters a lot and it makes me happy to see they are getting more important in the next film. They really need some loving ;-)

Thanks for posting.

I just hope he didn't screw the whole thing up. We've been worrying about him being in it for years -- since it was first suggested -- and to hear that he was drunk on the set bodes very ill, methinks. Grrrr.

It is Davy Jones, de-squidded. Looks good, doesn't he? And yeah, love that pic of the maelstrom!! They just posted those today on KttC, I think.

She is the most beautiful woman in person, but she's really pretty amazing and interesting as Tia Dalma, I must say.

You're welcome! I don't know what magazine the Keith pic is from, but it's an interesting pic, certainly. I hope he did a good job with his part. *worries*

I don't know if my fragile mind could actually handle screencaps. LOL

I'm crazy enough as it is.

There's hope - even if it's only hearsay.

Bill Nighy: "He was a huge hit on the set, and everybody adored him, and he’s apparently fabulous in the movie."

Very cool--thanks for posting these!

I would love to hear someone who knows more than me about historical costuming weigh in on Jones' outfit. It should be from a different era than the rest, since he's at least a century old, shouldn't it? And it looks like something from an earlier period to me, but I am not knowledgeable enough to be sure.

The coat is pretty clearly approx. 1660-80's in decoration and definitely upper=class goods (check out all the bling-braid!). The hat is a little easier to place, at approximately 1700 (tricorns developed from cavalier broad-brims and were initially larger than they became by 1720). The 'slop' breeches he's wearing are damned near 1620's in style and Dutch in origin (they must have been the first to figure out that running around with a ton of beans in their britches was difficult shipboard *snerk*). So it sort-of works (rather like Elizabeth's last gown in COTBP, which was delightfully beautifully but the style is of the 1780's).

Marquesate? You're the expert here....*G*
