1) Check out ALL of [livejournal.com profile] sparrbecuecook's PotC fic, over at her journal. HILARIOUS!! And the disclaimers are as funny as the fic!

2) [livejournal.com profile] weather_eyes posted a Jack/Tia Dalma fic, A Wayward Wind, that is just great.

3) [livejournal.com profile] viva_gloria has favored us with the wonderful wordage, humor, slashiness and brilliance of Practical Sesquipedalia: or, Word and Deed.

Wow! Thanks for recommending my fic. I'm truly flattered. :)

I'm off to check out the other recs.

I'll second that rec!

It's a wonderful examination of a scene that HAD to have taken place, and yet has had relatively little attention. We need more lights shone in this forgotten corners.

We need more lights shone in these forgotten corners.

That's the truth. So many gap-fillers that can be written to illuminate the films, which, for all their length, move far too quickly and leave too much out.

It's that huge buffet table of opportunities that TnT left us, but it seems like no one has an appetite!

Well, it's pretty angsty stuff, no matter how you look at it. I still prefer the lighthearted spirit CotBP left us with, even though there's a lot I love about the sequels.

That's where selecting from the buffet could fill in. The canon was fairly heavy, but we could certainly deliver some levity!

Our focus just needs to be re-directed a bit. There was so much more to AWE than just the ending.
