Considering that I'm probably around ten years outside the age range this is aimed at - to say nothing of living on the wrong side of the Atlantic - I'm not sure whether to be impressed at getting 11 out of 20 or worried!

Hey, I got 14!! Not bad, if I do say so myself. What can I say, I was the kind of kid who listened to oldies radio, and preferred the Mary Martin Peter Pan to the Disney version. Yeah, I was weird. :)

I got 15 right; guess that is average. I don't remember the commercials on some of these though. Probably the jingles just made their way down thru time!

Some of this trivia has certainly made its way into the annals of cultural literacy, while the rest is just a matter of watching too much TV, LOL!

Weird is good. And I've always adored Peter Pan in all its iterations. What an event it was when they showed the Mary Martin version on TV when I was little!!

I caught it on TV sort of by chance when I was a kid. I was absolutely enchanted. It became my favorite movie, and I had to rent it about a million times.

I still get the songs stuck in my head at random times. :)

I got 17 out of 20 - I suppose it's a testament to my geekdom and extensive knowledge of useless information?

Bahaha.

Oh, and I squeed the squee at the mention of the Mary Martin Peter Pan. I would literally watch that tape every day when I was little. (Haha, that tape is so old. It has a Raisinettes commercial on it.)

Score: 20, but I only deserve a 19, because I had to guess about #6 (even if I did guess right.) Never was a big fan of Dobie Gillis.

I didn't know the Brylcream. Since I scored so high, does that I mean that I was born in the wrong decade or that I know way too much pop culture?

That doesn't seem strange at all, to me. I think that info just floated around in the air and we breathed it in or something! We had a TV but were severely limited in what we were allowed to watch - I never saw Howdy Doody or Dobie Gillis, for example - and yet I knew the answers. So yeah, I blame it on osmosis. *g*

And yet you function just fine as an adult in the real world, LOL!

I have to admit, I watched a LOT of TV as a kid, particularly before I became something of a bookworm at around age 10.
