J/E Challenge: 'Friendly Rival'

Before Dead Man's Chest made Jack/Elizabeth canon and further clarified the characters, I wrote a series of J/E stories beginning with Lost and Found, a 500 word summary of the premise. Almost all of the stories found here are set in that universe, and now I've written one more, for the je_challenge community (and it fits nicely into my 10_hurt_comfort table as well). I didn't know if anyone would have time to beta read at the last minute, so I sent it to hereswith, hendercats and choose2live, and amazingly they all found time to go over it. I am certain the story is much improved for their efforts and I thank them most sincerely.
