The Rango trailer is... strange. On the one hand some of the animals are very realistic, and then there are characters that look more cartoon-y. But still, it looks interesting and I'll watch it anyway. *g*

But they wrapped filming there yesterday, and now are off to England to do interior scenes.

He is a trooper all right, not many stars would do that for their fans.

Oh thank you so much for these, Sharon! He is such a dear, taking that long line of squealing fans with such grace and decorum ~ what a guy. I love that he always gets down on the level of the kids when he is talking to/signing autographs for them. An amazing man.

Rango? Squeeee! The flashes had elements of Fear and Loathing (lizard's shirt) and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, for starters ~ bet, just as always in these "kids" movies, it is loaded with double entendre and sly references to other great films. Hot dog!

Agreed! I'm really looking forward to Rango now, was very much amused by the trailer. As for JD, yes, what a sweet guy he is. But I bet he drives his handlers nuts, lol!

Are they going to do any filming in California? *hopes* Seeing the Black Pearl when they were filming AWE was SO COOL. I had a friend who kayaked out to it and touched it.

Heh, he seems like the kind of guy who would happily talk to each fan for a couple of minutes, if he could - I had to laugh at the expression on the face of the handler!
And I love the way he talks with kids! So fantastic.

I don't think they're going to film in California this time. We went on a harbor tour to see the Black Pearl when they were filming AWE and I was really envying those kayakers! The Hawaiians lucked out this time. :-)

I am now really looking forward to seeing Rango, and I wasn't all that enthused before I saw the trailer. It looks like it'll be really funny!

Really? That's cool. I went and ate at a restaurant right at the harbor where the Peal was parked, and it was awesome just looking out and seeing it right there. I can't really go to that restaurant anymore without thinking "Oh, it's not the same without the Pearl."
