Work: Old boss seems very happy with new job; new boss (who is actually an old boss, too) and I are getting along swimmingly; new computer is still giving me occasional fits, but received new portable hard drive yesterday and have backed up all my stuff, easily and quickly.
Family: Son-in-law

Tar, stale water, straw, filth, and spoilt food; anger, misery, and fear. These seeped into wood and stone, and could not be eliminated, no matter how diligent and merciful the gaoler. And God knew, there were few enough of those.
