Those are so damn cool. I think one of the reasons that I love PotC so much is that I have a thing for sailing ships. (I oohed and ah'd throughout "Master and Commander," totally fascinated by the historical detail and the technical stuff, though I couldn't tell you the main points of the rather dreary plot.)

I can't wait for the second movie. I hope to God it's good enough to live up to the first...

As to the main plot points of 'Master and Commander': cat and mouse. Just like our modern subs and sub chasers. Some things never change at all, do they?

I loved "Master and Commander" for its ships, too, and that was one of the best things about seeing PotC on the big screen: the footage of the ships was spectacular!

I, too, am very much looking forward to the second movie. And we have such a long wait ahead, too. *whines*
