A perfect pair of ficlets! I love this whole premise of the room-clearing. I'd forgotten how much I used to adore pre-canon fics and this hits all the right buttons. It may be post-canon (just), but it's steeped in history: Jack/Ana, Gibbs, Barbossa, memories of the mutiny, of the carpenter... Jack's great; his insecurity is completely believable. *sighs* Both of these ficlets were really satisfying. *memories*
