dwgm | The D-land Hangover (Reply)

So I'm sitting here getting ready to fall asleep, after a whole day of trying to stay awake (including on the drive home from work: scary thought), all due to the dreaded, but traditional Disneyland Hangover. And not just Disneyland either, of course. Went to see Secret Window, Secret Garden on Friday evening (starring Johnny Depp and his Hair (both fun to watch)); on Saturday we hit Social Studies School Service (exchanged book for a teacher at work), Shamshiri (marvelous Persian food--see Lady Mora's journal for more detail), Polly's to fetch pie for Uncle Fran, whom we visited next (seemed chipper), Medieval Times (traffic was BAD on the 405, 10, AND the 5: bummer)(show was fun though, and more food was had), then checked into hotel across from Disneyland and went to Downtown Disney for a bit: very fun. Ginger was with us for Medieval Times, which was very nice, then Mom & I joined her in the morning at the Mass for the Deaf at St. Joseph's near CHOC (fascinating to watch). Then we all went to Disneyland. Ginger and a friend signed us in, had a wonderful lunch at the Blue Bayou (great food, great service), saw the new Snow White Musical (very cute, but still doesn't beat Pocahontas), went on a few rides (Star Tours, Jungle Cruise, Pirates), shopped. Mom & Ginger & I left & got home at 11:30, but the kids stayed for Fantasmic and got home quite a bit later. Although they don't have to get up early for work. I was totally dragging today. Will be better tomorrow.

In other news, as Lady Mora says, I finished my story, Harry and the Pirate: Swann's Revenge. It turned out pretty good. Now I have to work on a nice tight plot for the next one, which I started posting Saturday morning. Must work on the outline. It's the only way.

The cat is here to be petted. Must go.
