The Santa Ana winds are blowing today. We're in for dust, warm weather, and (possible) sinus headaches.

The following joke was gakked from jackfan2, who got it from her Dad! Had to pass it along to you all...



Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing.

He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq".

"OH NO!", the President exclaims. "That's terrible!".

Stunned to silence at this display of emotion, his staff sits and nervously watches as the President drops to a seat, buries his head in his hands, then begins to rock backwards and forwards.

Finally the President looks up and asks...

"How many is a Brazillion?"

Ahh the winds are blowing up there, that makes more sense. We don't seem to get the wind part down here in SD, but we definitely get the side effects of dry, hot, and headaches. I was wondering why my lips were (more) dry.

Actually, according to my latest dermatologist, Chapstick and Blistex both contain waxy stuff, which dries your lips out more in the long run. She's got me using Aquaphor (similar to vaseline, but with something else and not quite as gooey) and it actually works really really well.

That's why my head's been hurting. Maybe it's not a virus after all, just the good ol' Santa Anas. That could explain why I'm feling so out of sorts today too.

At least it's normal fall weather, as opposed to the weirdness of a couple weeks ago.
