There's talk that the current restrictions on hand luggage may be a permanent thing (are they even being applied outside of the UK at the moment?). If so, way to let the terrorists win and way to shut probably two thirds of the world's air travel down and increase air rage 300%.
So, so accurate. I would love to smack the news reporters I was watching yestrday at the gym. They're all busy yapping about how we can't take liquids on planes anymore, ignoring the fact that this plot was taken down before it got anywhere near an airport. I think the latter fact is far more important, and sure doesn't hype panic.
I think I lost all faith in the media after watching the same news recycled for four days after 9/11. It went on for longer, but that is the point where I stopped trying to watch. As for the government ... don't get me started.

Took you that long? I lost it somewhere during the Monica Lewinsky debacle that was actually thought of as "news." Which is really sad, considering I was, and still am, a journalist.
