That is so awesome! How do you keep her in there? Spanky would have chewed through the straps!

She is very well behaved as a general rule, but there is a strap that is attached to the car seat that fastens onto her harness. It's genius.

Totally!

It is totally a doggy car seat~~for dogs. It is just about the coolest thing evar!

It is made by a coompany called "Outward Hound" that makes travel gear for dogs. It attaches nicely to the seat with three adjustable straps that snap easily together. It is raised up off of the seat itself so that she can see out of the windows and have ample access to the air vents. It has a safety strap that hooks onto her harness so that she is secure, but has enough room to sit up or lie down. It even has three zippered pockets so you can carry extra toys or treats with you. This one is the smallest and is designed to hold up to 20 lbs, but there is at least one that is the next size bigger (that is we have the "small" size and I saw a "medium" size on the shelf). I got it at PetSmart for about $20.

She did great in it today going to and from the pet store. Tomorrow we are heading up to Santa Barbara, which is quite a distance~~but I am not worried about it now that we have the puppy seat.

Yay!

That is adorable; what a shot. The manufacturers would love to get their hands on that, I bet. It should go on their cover ads.
Do you girls ever post videos of the puppies playing, on YouTube?
That would be something to see; as cute as they are in still shots.
Does Jack have a carseat with a pirate flag on it?

Jack doesn't have a car seat yet, but if he gets one I will definitely get him a little pirate flag from the Pieces of Eight Shoppe!

No videos yet....hmmmmm....*ponders new idea*.....perhaps the weemonkey could help us with that.....

Kids are the best! I also enjoy it when the host catches the parents off guard and asks them to talk with Crush.

Excellent icon, btw. My ALL TIME FAVORITE Disney Film!

Awww....don't hide. That idea has potential. Mary could teach the pirates the proper etiquette to exhibit while drunkenly pilfering and plundering!

Where did you find that? I can never find anything that fits Lucy.. does it let the dog lay down too? cause Lucy likes to lay down. (Lucy is a Yorkie, so she's small, but on the large side for a Yorkie)

That's freakin' *adorable*, and Faline looks all happy! Getting over her camera-shyness, hopefully. :-)

I'm putting down a deposit on my puppy tomorrow!!!

Yes, she can sit up and look out or she can lay down and nap (she did quite a bit of the latter today). The harness strap allows a fair amount of movement without allowing her to actually climb out. The "small" size seat that we have is designed to fit dogs up to twenty pounds. Over that there is a "medium" size as well.

I found it at PetSmart for approximately $20.00. It is ridiculously easy to use and helps me to feel a lot safer. Faline is small and I was just afraid that if I had to swerve suddenly or brake hard that she would be unable to prevent herself from falling over or flying forward. It is just 3 adjustable straps that go around the seat (once adjusted to fit your car they snap easily into place and then the strap in the basket of the seat has a clasp on the end that attaches easily to the dogs collar or harness ring.

It may be something you can order on-line. It is made by a company called "Outward Hound". I am sure that PetSmart must have a website too. If you think you would like it and cannot find one let us know, perhaps we could arrange to send one to you.

I didnt either, but I love it. I think it is much safer, especially for smaller dogs. For larger dogs, that can sit up on a seat, they have harnesses that attach to the seat belt which I also think are super nifty.

Thank you! We love her!

Oh, thanks so much! I will look for that. :-) We've been using a harness and a strap that loops over the back seat seat belt and then hooks to the harness. Lucy is creative in finding ways to squirm out of it.

This might just be the ticket! I'll let you know if we can find it and if it works for us. :-)
