Faline doesn't mind wearing a costume, but Jack gets very depressed when we dress him up.

And then there are some recs...

I asked for Will/Elizabeth at wishkisses and watersword came up with the stunning, heartbreaking poetry of Secret, Knotted Shame, set post DMC. [Speaking of wishkisses, why are there so few requests for PotC? I owe a wishkiss but I know NOTHING about anime. Someone needs to request a wishkiss I can write, dammit.]

The inimitable viva_gloria is writing A Short Treatise on Games of Chance, Hazard and Skill for us, in remembrance of a wonderful game of pirate Uno that took place at the Geek Mama Estate on Halloween eve. Our game was much less slashy/sexy than this fic, and wholly devoid of Jack Shaftoe, but almost as much fun, nonetheless.

The other half of the brilliant Impverse duo, tessabeth, wrote a follow up to European Physick. European Postscript features a final visit from Jack Shaftoe's staid brother, Bob, and Bootstrap Bill pops in to offer sympathy and advice. Hilarious!

Nautical Maneuvers has been recced before, but is well worth mentioning again. It's an anonymous potcsecretsanta fic, and it's great! Very sexy, very funny J/E with a dash of J/W.

Another anonymous potcsecretsanta author wrote Swan, a J/E fic that's funny and real and heartwarming, and pretty much perfect in every way.

poetic_self wrote The Case of the Wandering Blouse for ME at 3fan_holidays! It's Gibbs' voice, observing some of the shenanigans his captain, etc., are getting up to. Charming!

celandineb wrote me a lovely drabble, From Dream to Reality -- J/E, prompt: Books.

And last (for now), cjk1701 wrote a beautiful story about young James Norrington, Rapture in the Lonely Shore.

Off to make dinner, and watch movies now.
