Thanks and Some Pirate Recs

Thanks to all for the get well wishes. I am recovering, though more slowly than I would prefer. Niece gingersnapps and daughter weemonkey6 have been taking good care of me with chicken soup, hot tea, cold juice, and much TLC. I am truly blessed.

Flask by shrieking_ell follows that homely vessel of Mr. Gibbs' down through the years. Unique, and brilliant.

Ocean Passage is hereswith's take on Elizabeth as she journeys to World's End. Beautifully poetic, and so very real.

And penknife wrote me Ruin off her "Timestamp Meme". It's James Norrington on the edge, two hours before the beginning of Proper Pirates (one of my favorite fics ever), and it's just what the doctor ordered.

Hi, Felaine! So kind of you to enquire. I've been commenting here and there, but haven't been on much due to my s...l...o...w recovery from bronchitis (in spite of the excellent care of my family and the best wishes of friends). Just too tired at night to stay awake! Also my muse has been unnaturally silent of late, so I haven't been writing much of anything, even a drabble. The chicken soup made by real pirates is greatly appreciated -- maybe it will even provide some inspiration to write. :D
