They are great dogs. My Mom & Dad had a small one, which was an elderly dog when I was born. He was their "baby" when they were childless for so many years (they'd been married 16 years when I finally showed up), and my mother never tired of telling me about Punch, the smartest, sweetest dog in the world (according to her and Dad).
