Here are a few spoilery AWE pix --

Will's stunt double? We could do without the smoking, of course. Ewww.

Wish this one was bigger, so we could see the details of the costume.

HAW!

I have numerous pics of Johnny with keefers, and you can see how much he loves the older man.

Also, there's always this contrast between Keith's clothing, which is jeans and a tee and a sweatband and one big skull ring- and Johnny's, which is jeans, a tee, a jacket, a scarf, a hat, a couple of dangles hanging from a belt, something wrapped around his wrist, three or four rings, three or four necklaces...

So, this is the first time ever that Keefer's clothing has EVER matched Johnny's in terms of sheer poundage!

Johnny does like to play dress-up, doesn't he? Or dress down, as the case may be. It'll sure be fun to see how Keith's scenes came out. :D

damn yeah.

I started a fan-fic a long time back where everyone tells young Jack "You look like your dad." and I plan to have his father show up and take a considerable part in the proceedings. Of course I knew that Keith was cast, and that would be the joke, but now... I know the man's name. And that he wears a LOT of lace at his wrists.

You know, from TnT's comments, and from script spoilers, I get the impression that Teague might not be identified as Jack's dad in the movie. Which would be good, in one way -- I rather like mysterious movie!Jack, and we all have our own Jack backstories in fanfiction -- and disappointing in another, as that's what we've been expecting.

Hello! Captain Tish here. Thanks for posting all these pics. I always come here to check if you've put up anything new. (I don't always post -- it's a bit of a hassle because I'm "anonymous" so I have to identify myself as not being a spam robot -- I really should get an LJ account, make things a lot simpler!)

On one hand, I think if they don't identify Teague as Jack's dad that might be kinda cool, because it would be implied but never confirmed, so we could think whatever we want.

Speaking of the trailer, WHERE IS IT? Does anybody else think it's weird that it's less than three months till the movie, and there is NO advertising going on? No teaser posters even?

Hope everything is well with you. I haven't lost interest in PotC but I have become rather wrapped up in Lost, Firefly, and -- somewhat inexplicably -- House. (I'm not into medical dramas but Hugh Laurie rocks)

Ta!

You really should get an LJ account. It's free, after all, and it's the place to be in the PotC fandom, if you want to run across intelligent discussion and good fanfic.

The trailer is coming out on the 19th, during "Dancing with the Stars", although I expect it'll be all over the internet immediately after that.

Lots of my fellow pirate fans have been lured over to Lost, Firefly, etc. I haven't, but it's probably just lack of time -- PotC alone keeps me plenty busy. And I expect after AWE comes out there will be lots more going on, at least for a while -- all us fanfic writers are sort of on hold in a sense, until we see where canon goes.

Very good hearing from you! I hope you're having a nice Sunday evening. :)

Have I ever told you that I love you? Seriously, you post photos to lift my spirits. Also, the shot of the stunt man smoking is almost as disturbing as a photo of Orlando smoking and I think we've all seen those. *bleh*

I can't wait until the trailer comes out, and we have screencaps from that!

I'll be posting the first batch of San Francisco pix soon.

Glad you enjoyed these. :)

I'm seriously considering calling into work sick on the 19th because I have a meeting that night and won't be able to watch the trailer. How sad am I?

I'll be home and I probably won't even watch it. I'm sure it'll be online later that night, thanks to some enterprising fan ...

Everybody at work is always raving about "Dancing with the Stars", so I guess I'll watch it and see what all the fuss is about -- and catch the trailer. But yes, I'm sure it'll be available online almost instantly.

I read that it will be available on Disney's Web site after it airs. I'm just really wanting a day off work and this is as good an excuse as any. LOL

Yeah, but he sees his hero at the cigarettes (Johnny) and how's that going to stop him? Hmph.

That's true enough. Very worrisome, the smoking. I'm sure we all know people who have suffered from the adverse effects of smoking.

How about everyone in my immediate family, except for me and one grandmother? I went through a thing in my mid-20s where I tried smoking cigars for a couple of months, but it held no allure for me outside of bars, and I just quit altogether. It's too expensive in a few ways.

Ha!! Icon!!!

It's horrible to think about, but one of our counselors at school lost her husband to cancer of the esophagus last year and I've become a lot more paranoid about the whole smoking thing after seeing what he went through -- after he couldn't work any more he volunteered at the school quite a lot, helping out in any capacity he could right up to his final days. My daughter, [livejournal.com profile] weemonkey6 quit just before the holidays -- best Christmas present ever!

That is very, very true.

As much as I dislike smokers, I am an occasional one myself. I hadn't had one since my mom went nutters on us Christmas Eve, but I had several last night while drinking...

It's really really hard to resist when you have a drink -- or so my Mom used to tell me. She smoked from the time she was twelve to when I was in high school, over forty years, and even years later would crave them when she had a drink, or after dinner, with coffee.

Good luck kicking the habit.

I honestly only crave them when I'm drinking. If the people around me hadn't been smoking, neither would I. I have done really, really well (until last night) and will continue to do my best and resist. But, with the year I've had, I'm shocked this is the only bad habit I have.

Thanks! I just made the icon last night. I absolutely love Sarah McLachlan's "Stupid" video and that's from the shoot (in case you didn't know.)
