Fic: 'The Perfect Gift'

celandineb posted my 3fan_holidays story, which I wrote for ceria_taliesin per her request of W/E/J. The story stands all right on its own, but it's part of one of my post-Curse of the Black Pearl A/U's, and takes place a year after The Christmas Guest, two years before A Christmas Accord, and about six years before Dancing Day. I've not read any of the other works you mentioned (above) but would like to. Which do you advise that I start with, or are they all standalones? Thanks!

Well, I wrote The Christmas Guest (which is four chapters) first, as a holiday follow up to Lost and Found and Jealous (NC-17). Those stories sort of laid the groundwork for that particular A/U, and the rest can be read in any order, really. But as I said, I think this one stands alone all right, it just ignores the sequels.

The characterizations are a little different than I would write them post-AWE, but they seemed to mesh with the lighter tone that prevailed after CotBP, and I still like writing in that less-angsty universe sometimes.
