Most of my flist has read piratemistress's Dear Jack, but if you missed it, as I did until this morning, go read! It's post-AWE in epistolary form, superb in all its details, funny, and heartbreaking, and perfect. So much love!

piratemistress is a wonderful writer, and here is a list of all the PotC she's written.

Recs pages are a great way to find the best stories. Check out the recs page fried_flamingo posted -- which is where I found Dear Jack. Also, I've added a few new stories to the J/E recs page that hereswith and I compile.

A final note: the drabble challenge of the week at blackpearlsails is "I should have...", and we've gotten over a dozen entries so far, and such wonderful ones, too! Thanks to all who have participated, and if you haven't, get to work! Only a hundred words! You can doooo eeeet!!

My dear, I owe you an enormous debt of gratitude for recommending Dear Jack! Having been moved to laughter and considerable tears, I finally formulated a comment to that marvelously clever post and fully intend to run through the very thoughtfully provided list of piratemistress's other work...as soon as I vacuum up the copious amounts of dog hair which accumulate on the carpet and beneath the couch during a normal week.

I am really really flattered, and so glad you liked "Dear Jack" and anything else I wrote!

I appreciate the rec on the recs page and here too! It's already sent me some new readers and I love that! Especially right now as I'm struggling to write and was in need of some encouragement.

It's nice to know there are so many others out there who love the fun of Pirates. Really. It's all about fun, isn't it?

I am glad you enjoyed Dear Jack as much as I did. It was just so beautiful, and perfect! piratemistress is a great writer -- I particularly enjoyed Desire, which is hotter than a pistol, but with something of a surprise ending. But her multi-chapter fics are fabulous, too. Lots to read there -- and well worth reading!
