ladymora, et al. dr_mrow shared some of his mother's homemade challah (delicious) but was unable to join us at the Good Earth Restaurant where we had an vegetable casserole and chicken curry--fantastic. weemonkey6 enjoyed the leftovers that evening. I always think nostalgically of the days when we had a Good Earth Restaurant in Simi Valley--we used to take ladymora and weemonkey6 there for breakfast, and it was all decorated in shades of green, and they played classical music, and had the best food...and, as with most S.V. restaurants that don't specialize in fast food, bbq, or Italian, it closed after a couple of years. *grumbles in a disgusted manner about backward community which has been home for most of life*
After our (comparitively) healthy lunch, we went over to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream, and browsed at a really great little dress and accessories shop where I purchased my very own Vulture. It is a Halloween decoration, but it is so pretty (black feathered body, lime green velvet head and neck, and a purple feather boa) that I've already put it up on the bookcase in my office, where it will look down on any visitors that happen to wander in. I'm interested to see how many will notice his presence. I'll have to think of a name for him. I will post his picture when I can find a digital camera that works.
I may go to the football game tonight. Yay, Marching Band!
