It's a cat thing, I guess. Mine used to enjoy curling up in the bathroom sink, so I suppose it's a similar thing with the pots. Very cute, though.

Cuteness aside, I'm wondering what was the purpose of it, anyway? A demonstration that any cat-sized container is irresistibly tempting for a cat? True, but I think the kitties would prefer full bowls. ;D

Apparently. I would've thought they'd beat feet out of the TV studio, or whatever, but maybe Japanese cats are mellower than those in the U.S. But perhaps an experiment is in order.

Very strange. Do cats really like pots (or similar objects) that much? My first cat curled up in an ashtray, but that was just one time, and none of the others have shown the tendency. I shall have to experiment :-) But they are cute, of course!

Catses are strange, but these are very cute.

There's a member of kittypix whose cat took over a ceramic candy dish that sits on a pedestal bottom. Candy has never filled that dish, just the cat. *g*

Yanno what, I just watched it again for the sake of the SO-- and the cats are sniffing at the pots before the lids come off. The minute the lids do come off, the cats are sniffing the bottoms of each pot.

I infer a grain or two of catnip per pot.
