Twelve Days of Christmas Holiday Fic/Fanart Celebration

Once again, a shout out to all piratey folk that we are taking sign-ups for the blackpearlsails Twelve Days of Christmas Fic/Fanart Celebration. The fun begins on Christmas Day, and we hope to have each subsequent day through January 5th filled by a different crewmember. We have seven days filled so far, and what a treat it will be to see what everyone comes up with! It's an easy challenge, you can write anything from a drabble to a long story, or make icons or banners, share your fanart, or even great links, favorite research aids, song lists, anything you like that you think we'd all enjoy. Leave a comment here or on the original post if you'd like to sign up, and let me know if you have a preference as to date.

And now I'm off for holiday fun at Disneyland! Whooot!!!

Disneyland at Christmas would be a sight to behold! Have a beignet for me.... and some skewered asparagus and bacon. I drool at the thought (although I'll be in beignet heaven in mid-Jan)If you seen any can't-live-without-goodies, keep me in mind :)

Put me down for a day, if there's still room in the 12-Days gig.. A little plot bunny doth churn in my head.

Indeed, it is! I missed the beignets yesterday, but thought of you while I was savoring my bacon wrapped asparagus.

"Beignet Heaven" -- would that be New Orleans? If so, mmmm... I am full of envy.

And the 12-days gig -- yay! I am thrilled you're signing up!! There are three days left, I'll put you on December 30 but if that doesn't suit the others are New Years Eve and Day. (ETA: Ooops, no the others are 12/29 and 1/1)

There are two places to get them at the Disneyland Resort, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, and at Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square (across from Pirates). The latter are Mickey shaped, dusted with powdered sugar, and come with little pots of vanilla sauce and raspberry sauce for dipping. The former are bigger, square, and come in a bag of powdered sugar which you shake and then tear open to gobble up the hot-from-the-fryer pillows inside. A taste test of each version (breakfast at Brennan's, dessert after lunch or dinner at CO) is an excellent way to enhance your Disneyland itinerary. ;)
