Aren't they just GORGEOUS?!?! Life as I know it is over. Please, somebody kill me now.

Scurvy -- usually shows itself in bleeding beneath the skin, and wounds that don't heal. This film is supposed to take place about a year or so after the events of the first (IIRC), and if he didn't have the vitamin C deficiancy, that would have healed up by now. and, no doubt, the reason for all those gold teeth, too.
