LibraryThing, etc.
Dec. 19th, 2005 09:04 amAnyone who loves books should check out LibraryThing.
the_stowaway (who got the word from
monkeypuzzle) told me about it, and I can see that I will be hooked, and I hope you will be, too. It's a simple, beautifully constructed site wherein one can catalog one's books, rate them, review them, tag them, and network with others to compare notes, get recommendations, etc. Fantastic idea. Really impressive. Check it out!
Ran across another great food-related website, too. It's called In Mama's Kitchen, and it not only has home style recipes, but historical information, biographical information, cook book reviews, and other interesting articles. I need to post the link at
prettygoodfood.
Speaking of
prettygoodfood, maybe I'll do a little updating there this morning. It's been too long since I posted there. Bad me.
I'm off work this week and next, but am still recovering from a horrible cold/flu/whatever. Bah. Makes things so very difficult. I haven't been doing much besides computing for days -- website stuff, and writing (the second part of A Christmas Accord should be posted soon, hopefully tonight). I did manage to trim the Christmas tree, finally, and it looks really cute, even without tinsel, which I need to buy if I can get to the store today.
Must make a to do list, and do Christmas cards today. But first, brunch.
Have a good day, all!
