[livejournal.com profile] ceria_taliesin pointed out this article on fanfiction by John Jurgensen of the Wall Street Journal. I am so not the only one, LOL! Which is what I used to think, of course.

[livejournal.com profile] spicedrum lifted this link about amazing Danish artist Peter Callesen from [livejournal.com profile] zarahemla

[livejournal.com profile] erinya has written Johnny/Keira RPF (Real Person Fic) -- A Little Knowledge, part 1 and part 2. I don't ordinarily read RPF, but hey, in [livejournal.com profile] erinya's hands it's a thing of beauty.

[livejournal.com profile] artaxastra posted the final chapter of To Trouble the Ocean, a great post-DMC story. Must add to the recs page.

That is all. Happy Saturday, everyone!

*reads fanfic article* *cheers*

*checks out Peter Callesen's website* *gapes* Thank you for posting this link, for his work is as beautiful as it is amazing. Wanted to applaud and cry when I recognized a favorite childhood story in one of his pieces.

Isn't that incredible? I just love the internet. I mean, it doesn't replace actually being there, but it's amazingly diverse, and it's so satisfying that you can look up practically anything ("google it") and find information! I think LJ is great for passing these wonderful links on, too.

I think we ALL thought that. It's so nice to see something positive said about fanfic writers, we never hear that enough.

Fanfic is just an amazing phenomenon. I was pretty blown away three years ago when I discovered how widespread it is! And my appreciation of the internet just grows and grows. The world is getting smaller and I can't help but think that's a great thing.
