potcfest is drawing to a close and penknife will be posting the master list of fics tomorrow. Two of the best of those stories I've read were posted just today...

-- ballincolliq's Tabula in Naufragio was written for prompt #56: How Jack picked up all that Latin. It's a really unique and fabulously written backstory for Jack Sparrow. Truly not to be missed!

-- And torn_eledhwen wrote a very clever and thoroughly enjoyable PotC/Master & Commander crossover for prompt #54: Jack Sparrow (perhaps with the help of the Fountain of Youth) survives to meet Stephen Maturin. Don't miss The surgeon and the pirate.
