1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee.
As icon squee seemed eminently desirable, I replied to
hendercats's post and she picked the icons under the cut...

Flaming June, by Fredrick Lord Leighton. I just love a) the colors -- that dress is gorgeous, b) that she's Junoesque, as they say, and yet very beautiful, and c) that it's such a restful picture.
-------------------

This is, I believe, Madeline Bassett, from Jeeves and Wooster. In any case, it is she who is reputed to have observed that the stars are God's daisy chain, and of course she is destined to be disillusioned, probably sooner than later.
I adore Wodehouse.
-------------------

This, of ccourse, is Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter stories, and a very cool character she is, too. Had to have at least one Harry Potter icon!
-------------------

The Farewell of Telemachus and Eucharis by Jacques-Louis David, one of my favorite paintings at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. So sweetly romantic.
-------------------

And last, I made this recently for
weemonkey6, after finally viewing Napoleon Dynamite. This is one of her favorite lines from the movie -- Napoleon's grandma left him in charge of feeding her llama, Tina, and he's less than enthused about it.
weemonkey6 is also fond of the Llama in the sock puppet cartoon, Sifl & Olly...
We tried to find the Llama School once, when we were in Santa Monica, taking Pico to Colorado, but then we missed Las Palmas and blew it. Oh, well. It was a good day anyway.

Yeah, I think.. I think you take, uh, Las Palmas
Take Las Palmas to Colorado
Take Colorado down to Pico
And that's how you GET TO LLAMA SCHOOL!
You go to Pico,
You take Pico to Colorado
Take Colorado to Las Palmas
And that's how you GET TO LLAMA SCHOOL!
Pico!
Take that to...
Colorado
Then go down to...
Kopico?
And that's how you GET TO LLAMA SCHOOL!
Now you say Pico
And take your little llamas
Colorado, Colorado!
Las Palmas... GET TO LLAMA SCHOOL!
Get to LLAMA SCHOOL!
You got to go to LLAMA SCHOOL!

And Jack, yes, though his optimism and perseverance are two things we can't help but admire in him, his life hasn't been a barrel of laughs. That's fun to fix in fanfiction, though. ;)
