Still more in the ongoing drabble series started by

potc100 (prompt: 'Sex'), and these four -- each 100 words -- are a series within the series, Will/Elizabeth/Jack, post-AWE.
#23 Insupportable (Elizabeth/Will)
Elizabeth's heart, breath, world stopped in that moment. She was so close to Will's lips she could see only him, feel only his cool breath against her cheek. In her mind's eye, she leaned just a dark hair closer, melding her burning lips to his and from that point, consummation, swift, thorough, passionate consummation of her long-denied yet undeniable love would surely ignite.
She was stunned on waking to find it was, as ever, only a dream, she'd be nine years a mother by the time that one day arrived, and that her appointed lot (Pirate King) grew increasingly insupportable.
*
#24 Payment (Jack/Will)
Jack's heart, blood, breath, world stopped in that moment. He was so close to Will's lips he could see only him, feel only sea-salt breath against his cheek. In his mind's eye, he saw Will lean just a hair's-breadth closer, meld cold lips to his and from that point, consummation, swift, thorough, passionate consummation of love and hate combined would surely ignite.
He was singularly stunned on waking to remember there'd been more love than hate in the encounter, though the task he'd been given (Pirate King Keeper) seemed a suspiciously high price for merely being rescued from certain death.
*
#25 Gift (Elizabeth/Jack)
Elizabeth's heart, blood, breath, world stopped in that moment. She was so close to Jack's lips she could see only him, feel his hot breath against her cheek. In her mind's eye, she leaned that tangled hair closer, melding burning lips to his and from that point, consummation, swift, thorough, passionate consummation of her long suppressed need (it could not be love) would surely ignite.
She was singularly stunned to realize he was just as overcome as she, that they both trembled on the brink of something terrible, wonderful, and that Will (oh, Pirate!) had given them both Cursed Treasure.
*
#26 Elements (Will/Elizabeth/Jack)
Will's breath, his entire world stopped in that moment. He was so close to Elizabeth's lips he could see only her, feel her warm, sweet breath against his cheek. In his mind's eye, he leaned just a blonde hair closer, melding burning lips to hers and from that point, consummation, swift, thorough, passionate consummation of his deep, abiding love would surely ignite.
He was singularly stunned later to remember how Jack had joined them, how it had seemed like a fusion of elements, something Dear, something Wicked (Pirates!), something that would last and sustain him in the long years ahead.

How do you do this? How do you manage to just knock my socks off with bittersweet wonder. Wow--this is a hot! little number.
you

I am so happy Jack knew there was more love and that the terrible price paid, was paid by them all. Gol-(wait for it)ly Moses! Hot and hard, in that life lesson, rather than fun, manner.

Trembling on the brink, sweet mary michael, that is heartbreak/hope central. "oh, Pirate" You don't just stop loving people easy. Wonderful explanation of what next in the world.

Date: 2009-08-23 11:28 pm (UTC)So true. All bets are off when immortality and piratical freedom come into play. PotC is nothing if not bittersweet, but the balance between bitter and sweet can be a wonderful thing.
Thank you again for commenting on all four of these! I truly appreciate your feedback.
*hugs!*

Date: 2009-08-24 05:54 am (UTC)I just got through watching 'Curse of the Black Pearl' and once again am longing for the old days when the three ended up friends and allies. Why TnT etc. thought they needed to put them at odds with each other, rather than creating external conflicts that they could deal with as a trio, is beyond me.
I'm glad you enjoyed that one, as well as the OT3. That's about as close to slash as I've ever written, lol! Though I've certainly read enough of it. Thank you for the feedback -- it's very much appreciated.

I love this line! You can understand why that sentiment would grate somewhat.
