Two words!! Thrusty Spock! No, three--horizonal thrusty Spock--I don't think I've enjoyed Captain Kirk so very much since I was first in love (LUST) with him at 17. He was sure the taste back in the day and just amazes me how funny and fine William Shatner still is. He's definitely a long lost relative of Captain Jack.

He is! I felt the same, way back when, and have the piles of taped STOS episodes and Trek novels to prove it.
I love Chris Pine, too! He makes a great Kirk and I look forward to many more adventures with him at the helm, but ya, no one beats Shatner. My youngest (age 11) watched that vid yesterday and said 'WOW! Your mom LET you watch this show?!!" *g* I must say, I missed A LOT of that stuff the first time around, I was a lot less savvy at eleven than she seems to be. I mean, sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling his boots on!?! Ya, totally missed that one. *headdesk*
