It's a beautiful Saturday! It's going to be fairly cool, in the high 50's/low 60's, but the sun's out, a laden orange tree and a flowering pink peach are visible, and the beautiful greeeeeen hills are rising in the distance.

At mary684's suggestion at start_writing_2, I have signed on to participate in story_lottery Round 3. You may have noticed the big "boulerouge" there in the corner. Sounds like fun, and fairly flexible.

Something else: my prayers were granted at the end of last year when Pepperidge Farm, probably the best of the big brands of baked goods in the U.S., came out with Tim Tams, previously only available in Australia! If you have never tried the Tim Tam Slam, get a package of these amazing cookies and do it today. Heaven!! Here is a $1 off coupon offer.

Tim Tams available in the US?? Have you eaten any yet? Are they the same as the Aussie cookies? Questions! Questions! Like -- why aren't they available in Canada yet? I must ask my cousin to bring some with him next month.

As far as I can tell our Tim Tams are virtually the same as the Aussie version (though I haven't had those in a while), and of excellent quality, as one would expect from Pepperidge Farms. I've tried the light chocolate and the caramel, and they both work perfectly for the Slam. I'm looking forward to trying the dark chocolate, which is new, I believe.

I'd think they'd be available in the bigger markets. I think I read that Target has them, too, have to see about that. I've been getting them at Albertsons down here, don't know if you have one there.

Very happy to know you find the thought of Jack/Molly squeeful! I do enjoy writing Jack/OFC, I must say, and am still rather boggled that OFC's are so frowned upon in fandom.

I still miss your drabbles, particularly your Gillette. You made him so likable, so human.

Read this before going grocery shopping today, and, on your recommendation, decided to check out the cookie aisle for Tam Tams. Lo and behold, our local Piggly Wiggly had them (they must have just started carrying them very recently; there wasn't even a shelf label for them yet)! They had both the caramel and the chocolate creme, and of course I had to try them both.

You're right -- absolutely, deliciously decadent cookies!!! (If Jack Sparrow came back as a cookie, he'd definitely be a Tim Tam!) ;-) Many thanks for reccing them!

Also eagerly looking forward to your new Molly Hatter tale! I love all your OFC's (though I can't believe that any of yours are frowned upon! You write OFC's so wonderfully, you could almost believe they WERE canon -- or at least wish they were!). ;-)

Enjoy your fabulous weather! Where I live, they're predicting possibly ten inches of snow by Monday! Good thing I invested in some sturdy snow boots this winter! I'm surely getting tons of use out of them this year!

Alas! They didn't have Tim Tams at Albertsons, where I've been buying them since November. I requested them, maybe they'll get some in for me, but in the meantime I'm bereft, unless I can find another source. I'll have to check the website and see if they have a list of stores that carry them -- no Piggly Wiggly near here, unfortunately.

The fic is still in the works, should be done in a bit. :))

We stopped at Albertsons on the way home from church and they didn't have any! AAAARGH!! I'll have to investigate, at least I know they make them, just have to find out where they're sold. But maybe you'll have better luck today.
