I've had my iPhone for a year now and I must say I love it. It works great as a phone, of course, but more importantly I can access the internet and my email almost anywhere, and store all my music and books-on-tape (I have the entire Aubrey-Maturin series on it), movies, and a whole library of free reading through the Kindle and Stanza apps. The GPS/map system is amazing -- we used it for directions almost exclusively on a recent trip to San Francisco and it worked beautifully. I thought I might have a problem with the touch pad keyboard, but I found it quite easy to get used to. And now you can get one like mine for half of what I paid last year. It's a great little gadget, I highly recommend it!
