Poor Black Pearl - she still has holes in her sails! Thanks for posting these and the videos the other day - it's fun to see what's going on. (I've been thinking of you frequently recently, due to all the Queen Anne's Lace by the sides of the roads here.)

I'm confused by the battered sails. It made sense in CotBP, but why can't she look pretty and loved like she did at the end of that first film now?

Probably because of all that happened in DMC and AWE--pulled down by kraken, resurrected, pitched battle with the EITC and the Flying Dutchman. She's just battle scarred. Barbossa needs to steal her some better canvas.

I'm with you on the pretty, but it seems as though that'll only happen in our A/U's, unfortunately. Though who knows, they may surprise us. Glad you enjoyed the pix!

I wonder about those sails... My sis and I were talking about the book OST and IF (BIG IF here) they use any parts of that book for this movie, it would fit more as a prequel than a sequel. I'd go more into it, but I'd hate to spoil the book for any reading it. But it would fit with Jack being the Jack in the book (with some changes of course) and Barbossa being the Blackbeard in the book.

I am reading On Stranger Tides and I think Jack sounds more like Davies than Shandy. But PotC4 is supposed to be set after AWE, and there's another fellow, Ian McShane, playing Blackbeard. It's all a wonderful mystery! Is it next May yet?
