I think the Hawaiian scenery will be wonderful to see, on top of all the piratey goodness. Glad you're enjoying the updates!

So are they saying the Pearl isn't to figure in the film? That they are fitting her as Queen Anne's Revenge? But...but...but...there is more than one main ship in the book! I cry foul!!

On the other hand, all my fellow pirate lovin' Lost friends will be over the moon to not only have Captains Jack and Barbossa back, but also our beloved, well known land and sea views from Oahu, home to the survivors of Oceanic 815 and Others for six seasons. It will be like arriving home in a different time line...

... Are you sure Cuse and Lindeloff didn't write the screen play?

Loving the updates. May 2011 is just around the corner in grown-up years. ;)

If it's called Queen Anne's Revenge, either it's a tribute to Anne Boleyn (hehe) or they're "definitely" setting the POTC films in the 18th century, which is when Queen Anne ruled in her own right (not a queen consort like Anne Boleyn).

I don't really know ~ this is what I came up with on the QAR by way of wiki:

Queen Anne's Revenge. The name may have come from the War of the Spanish Succession, known in the Americas as Queen Anne's War and one in which Blackbeard had fought, or possibly named it after Anne in sympathy to the Stuart claim to the British throne. Apparently Blackbeard only used the ship for a year or so before running her aground in 1718.

Much as I love the looks of Blackbeard's flagship, I would sorely miss the Pearl were she not in the film. After all, when last we saw her she was sailing off into the sunset under the steady hand of Barbossa! That just ain't right!
