The ones you've seen only part of: was it because you didn't like them, so you didn't finish? (I'm just curious.) And you don't own #19! *boggles*

LOL! Yes I own #19. Somehow missed that. I MUST be tired. Will fix. ;)

I am notorious for going to movies and falling asleep, but then if I don't like one I'll shut it off, too. Or I'll catch part of it on TV, and never see the rest.

Some of those have multpe versions.

The italian job comes in two flavors - a rat pack version and a mini advertisement version. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was, I believe also remade.
Or, the last of the Mohicans, IMDB has versions from 1920,1932,1936,1977,1992.

Count of Monte Cristo, too (I like the Richard Chamberlin one, but I think that's a TV movie), and Cheaper By The Dozen (the new one sucks, big time, if you will forgive the expression). Also An Affair to Remember, although the newer one, with Warren Beatty and Annette Benig (and Katherine Hepburn), was called something else--and the older version, with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr is, again, better.

Oh, yes! Sam Neal, and Jeff Goldblum??? Two of my favorite actors. That first one was such a marvelous film.

Labyrinth... Now, that makes me nostalgic, haven't seen it in years, but I loved it, once upon a time :-)

My girls used to watch it regularly, and I know it's still popular--you've seen [livejournal.com profile] the_dala's icon, haven't you? Such a clever show it was, too, and David Bowie was inordinately sexy, considering it was a kid's show. ;)

Oh, yes, had quite a crush on Jareth back then :-) I've read a few fanfics in that fandom as well, I've far too many to keep proper track of... at least fandoms that I read in.

I rarely read in any fandom other than PotC, although I expect I will get around to it, eventually. My pirate infatuation is still too enthralling to permit of other interests. ;)

It's mostly pirates for me too, of course :-) Should you ever have the urge to try something else, though, feel free to ask me, and perhaps I can give you some recs (depending on the fandom).

neat list

I like your quiz, and I see a lot of movies, but I have a few permutations to suggest:
(I buy my movies; I hardly ever rent (and don't have movie-cable) and the ONLY one I can say I didn't finish was Sweet November -- and I was donating blood platelets when I watched and I was finished before the movie was, but I never went back to finish it, so I guess it counts. I usually stick it out once I decide to try it.)

- movies that you own in VHS but haven't yet bought in dvd
- movies you've bought on impulse but have not yet watched (I don't do it often, but it happens... -- I can always resell them if I don't intend to keep.)

- movies that you bought, watched, and then gave away or sold so technically you don't own them anymore

- and you've totally left off TV series!

Thanks for posting this.

Er, do you mind if I borrow it for another list?

Not at all--it's been making the rounds.

Hi again,
Thanks for permission to hijack the movie list!

And, the reason I was looking at your lj -- I found some of your POTC fic at fanfiction dot net and I enjoyed it very much! Thank you for writing and sharing -- I am currently enthralled with all things Norrington!

I will get organized and try to give you real feedback in a more appropriate locale, but I wanted to take this opportunity, since I tend to be remiss in this area!

Thanks again.
