kahva, who wanted...
“Elizabeth,” he whispered, his dark head bending to hers.
“How good it is to hear you say it at last!” She drew away and studied his handsome face, now full of satisfaction and confidence. A man’s face.
“I always said it, in my heart,” he said, simply.
“From the moment we met?”
He smiled. “I believe you knew that.”
She had the grace to blush. “Perhaps.”
To cool her cheeks, she looked out from the parapet, to the dazzling sea and the Black Pearl, now an object of beauty, rather than fear, her new sails spread to the winds, her rightful captain at the helm, making her majestic way out of the bay, to the open sea, and freedom.
All as it should be.
She turned to Will, admiration in her eyes. “You saved him!”
Will tried to turn it off. “Pirate!”
She shook her head. “No. More than that. Hero.”
He shook his head, and gazed out at the ship. “My father loved him, though he couldn’t save him from the mutiny, it seems. And still they put my father to death, for supporting him.” Will looked at Elizabeth: his treasure. “It was through Jack's efforts that we are here now. What else could I have done?”
“Nothing. And you risked everything to do it, to do what was right. That is the part of a hero.” When she saw he would still dispute the assertion, she added, “No more arguments! You know I am right!”
“Yes, ma’am,” he said, in a meek little voice, but smiled at the tiny gasp she made as he pulled her close, and kissed her once more.

Date: 2005-04-01 09:34 pm (UTC)Right now I'm trying to remember what the challenge theme was for three old drabbles I did for BPS a long time back. I think one of them was a color challenge, can't really remember the other two themes. I've just recently realized I've not put them on my own group, LJ, or on FF.N!

Date: 2005-04-01 09:49 pm (UTC)I posted the cross-over drabbles on my LJ, on my group, on BPS of course :) and on FF.N, but I've only recently realized that the older drabbles I did that I'd only posted them on BPS. I've still got them on my computer, I just can't remember what the original challenges were. The first one I'm pretty sure was a color challenge, which is titled simply "Gold". The other two are called "Hunting" and "To Sail", but I've no clue what the challenges were that sparked them. I was wanting to put that info in the disclaimers with them when I put them on my group, LJ and FF.N.
I'm also feeling a bit of accomplishment. The Highlander/POTC crossover trilogy I've plotted out finally has a name for the trilogy itself, and the first fic. Never knew how big a block that would be for me, not being able to come up with a good title, until last night. Now that I've got the title, my Jack Sparrow muse has been rather talkative. :)
Should I be scared now, or thankful about his being talkative??

Wasn't that one challenge "Blood and Gold"? I have a list of all the challenges that everyone could remember. Let me know if you want me to send it to you. It's a Word document, but I could save it as .rtf or html if you need something different. Also I have WordPerfect. Just let me know.
