My hard drive on my new computer at work did NOT crash, as previously reported. The tech from the district was here early this morning and said it was only a loose connection!!! Still, I'm going to spend some time backing up my laptop and my desktop computers this morning. 'Cause you just never know.

In other news, I am constructing a story archive website for Black Pearl Sails and Black Pearl Library, so all those drabbles and short stories we've posted there (and, in some cases, nowhere else) will be preserved for posterity. It's going very well -- used the layout from a free frames template I got off the net and constructed my own frames pages and graphics to replace those in the template. It looks good. As soon as ladymora guides me through getting it posted to the server I'll let you all know.

Eeek. I can't, unfortunately. ladymora, dr_mrow and I are going off to a wedding that weekend. I'll be thinking of you, though, as I comsume mass quantities of champagne. ;) Thanks for inviting me, though!

He's looking pretty good (they'd given him a unit of blood, and have him on an IV drip with potassium, in which he is apparently deficient. He was fairly coherant, though not quite sure why he was there. Still, if you have to be in a hospital, St. John's is a good one.
