Go me. I remembered this one from the last time it made the rounds, and managed to not click even once.

Of course, last time was the third round in which I had to click a good half-dozen times before getting it. The first time, back in the nascent LOTR fandom days of 2002, I think I clicked about a thousand times, and still had to have it explained to me.

But after several clicks - and glancing at posts here and there - I realized this thing has been going on so long, I'll never find the beginning w/o triggering a massive carpal tunnel episode.

And I know it's bad, but I couldn't help but giggle a little at the one post I found where even after the posts before it talking about it, one person was still wondering where the joke was. Poor thing. :)
