Tropical Storm!

erinya's post about an interesting storm down in San Diego yesterday, I said to myself, "Bzuh?", eyeing the sunny fall weather we were enjoying. Then, at about 1:40 A.M., weemonkey6 came and woke me up: "Mom! Did you hear the thunder?!" And sure enough, the storm had come up from the south, thunder and lightening and bursts of fat tropical raindrops. Everything is nice and clean and sweet-smelling this morning, cloudy and warm, and reminding me of the way the air feels in January on the Mexican Riviera.
What a lovely surprise!
