I've been updating Black Pearl Tales. Chapters 4 through 8 of The Sacking of Port Royal are up. It's a great story, and it's not posted anywhere else on the internet (except the Black Pearl Sails group site). Read it -- you'll like it. It's Will, Jack, Elizabeth, etc. in a great adventure story.

Also have added chapter 6 of rennie1265's A Spirit From the Vasty Deep. The story is a reply to fabu's Halloween challenge: Ghost Norrington is invited aboard the (charmingly sentient) Pearl, and proceeds to drive Jack mad even madder.

I know what you mean, and greatly sympathize! I felt the same way when I read it last summer. The author says she is working on another multi-chaptered story in which Norrington is more the Commodore we love and admire. But the plot of The Sacking of Port Royal definitely favors Will and Jack, and Elizabeth.

I have seen spoilers from PotC II about Norrington, and I must say: wanna see that film!!!

Heavens yes! Can't wait to see what they've done with his character. I'm so glad he has a major part in it, 'cause they could have just written him out, you know? I'm glad they realized how popular he's become.

Jack will always be my favorite, but Norrington has grown on me to a really alarming extent. Yes, I love spoilers (I even read the ends of books), and have been revelling in all the new PotC info we've been getting. Such fun!
