tessabeth, whose writing never fails to astound me, has succumbed to the pleas of yours truly and co-worshiper hendercats and written a prequel to her superb PotC/Quicksilver crossover, Picaresque. It's called In The First Year Of Their Acquantance and features her marvelous OC, Captain Tobias, Bootstrap Bill as himself (competent, friendly, a bit of a stick at times), an oily young Barbossa, and Jack himself, perfectly himself, but all of seventeen.

The story -- which is slash, but only charmingly PG in this first chapter -- is being posted to impofperversity, but is not a crossover -- at least, tessabeth says Jack Shaftoe might appear (Yay!), but only at the end.

Go read the first chapter and prepare to squee!
