A last drabble for the 'Fool' prompt, exactly 100 words of Davy Jones and Beckett, post-DMC. Thanks, again, to
hereswith for looking it over for me!
~ Fool of a Captain ~
“Jack Sparrow is dead!” Jones asserted, with relish.
“Is he?” Beckett raised an eyebrow. “You know, he’s damnably hard to kill. Do you have some evidence? His head, perhaps? Or some other bit I’d recognize?”
Jones seethed, though that would avail him nothing, thanks to Norrington. “The Black Pearl’s gone to the depths, and its fool of a captain with it!”
“Hmmm. And yet… the ship’s been raised before. By you.”
“For a price! We had a bargain. But no one escapes the Locker!”
Beckett laughed. “No one? And a bargain?” He shook his head. “Fool of a captain, indeed.”

Date: 2008-04-09 12:49 am (UTC)Delightfully horrible or horribly delightful, Beckett is the one true villain of the trilogy, and yes, one can't help feeling sorry for Davy Jones. I'm so glad you thought it worked!
Ben from Lost, eh? Hmmm...
