The gentleman who did the great video, Greg Knudson who lives on Oahu, has posted some big pics of the same scenes. Some real Barbossa spoilers. The pics under the cut are big, so be warned, but they were originally found at Filmonic, where there are links to even larger versions.

Info and two interesting, somewhat spoilery videos over at Filmonic, a movie blog. No Captain Jack, but Gibbs and Barbossa are in evidence.

I'm falling behind on posting pirate pix here, which is not an acceptable state of affairs.

The first one below is from yesterday, from a blog by a Hawaiian resident, which has links to a much larger version of the pic. Also I ran across another blog that shows a pic of the PotC themed rooms at Disney World's Caribbean Beach Resort -- looks fun!

Those of you who have been members of the Black Pearl Sails Yahoo Group are already familiar with some of the wonderful PotC artwork ladymouse2 has produced for us for the last four years, but now, for the first time, she has given us permission to host all her Pirates illustration art and cartoons at Black Pearl Tales, the archive website for Black Pearl Sails and Black Pearl Library. I am just thrilled that so many more of you will be able to see and enjoy her work!

Her latest piece is an illustration for florencia7's recent drabble, Marred Elegance (one of her series of stories that features Jack, Elizabeth, and their son, Blaxton) and holy cats, it's adorable!

Black Pearl Tales

I've rec'ed p0wdermonkey's Nuts Out series before -- hilarious, perfect mad Jack, with touches of Awwwww... thrown in to savor the pot. Her latest offering, Sixth Nut Out of the Locker, is just as wonderful, covering the portion of AWE that includes Jack's encounter with Sao Feng, his discussion in Beckett's cabin, his escape from the Endeavor (with attendant Jacks in tow), and his talk with Will later that night. Rated 'R' for language and references to the shenanigans between Jack and Barbossa in Nuts 5. Superb writing! Don't miss it.

Since it was established in September of 2003, the Black Pearl Sails Yahoo Group has been having a weekly Drabble Challenge, and our members have come through with many great works over the years. As Drabblemistress trinityday tells us...

Drabbles are 100 word stories. Well, mostly they are. We tend not to worry about trifling things such as word count, not if it gets in the way of a good story.

The drabble challenge runs Wednesday to Wednesday, but see the above rules if you get inspired by one of the previous topics, listed at Black Pearl Tales. All responses are also archived on that site, so please make a note if you do *NOT* want your story there.

All of you are invited to write a drabble on the theme of the week. Please leave a comment on this post with a link to your drabble, or you can put your drabble in a separate post on blackpearlsails.
